“Isn’t it funny?” she pondered aloud. “When you’re not trying to woo someone, you’re more open, more raw. I showed him my oddities, and he showed me his. It’s a level of honesty you don’t often see in the early stages of dating.”
But, there was one area where they didn’t quite see eye to eye. It was about the role of jealousy in a relationship.
T.J. was adamant. “Absolutely not,” he said, dismissing the idea that jealousy could be healthy in a relationship. Amy, however, had a different take on the matter.
“I wouldn’t want to act on the jealousy, or become petty,” she clarified. “But, feeling a twinge of jealousy reminds me that I want him, and only him. It’s a strange feeling, but in a weird way, it reassures me.”
Their relationship, which became public in November 2022, led to them losing their GMA3 hosting jobs. Despite this, they scored an impressive 84% on a compatibility test. Michael thought this was “pretty high.”
His reasoning? “You’re both on the same page about the crucial aspects of a relationship. It was clear from the start that you agreed on family values, on what you want from a relationship. That’s what truly matters.”
