Theresa Nist, she didn’t let a little wardrobe malfunction ruin her big day. Nope, not one bit. She was the star of The Golden Bachelor, and she looked every bit the part. Dressed in a stunning off-the-shoulder sequin dress from Badgley Mischka, she was all set to marry Gerry Turner on January 4th.
But then, during the televised ceremony, something happened. One of Theresa’s dress straps decided to take a break. It broke off during a commercial break and just hung there, dangling on the side of her dress.
The rest of her dress? Oh, it was a sight to behold. It had a plunging neckline and a fitted bodice, all covered in sequins. The mermaid silhouette of the gown was complemented by a voluminous tulle train, adorned with sparkly embellishments.
But Theresa, she didn’t let a little strap mishap get her down. She and Gerry, who’s 72 by the way, just kept on with their vows.
“We laugh until we cry,” she said. She talked about the challenges they’d faced, including a near-death experience on a California freeway. “I promise to be your calm in the storm… but most of all to have fun for the rest of the days we have left on this earth.” And that, folks, is how you handle a wardrobe malfunction with grace.
