Katie, speaking exclusively to E! News at the season 11 premiere party on Jan. 16, admitted, “That was something I didn’t, and couldn’t prepare myself for.”
She continued, “I just sort of got through that. It was short-lived.” She tried to downplay the awkwardness of the situation, adding, “But it was funny, we tried to just make it not too awkward, as much as possible. But like, what do you do? I don’t know.”
In a sneak peek of the upcoming season, Katie is seen declaring, “May the best man win.” However, for Tom, it wasn’t much of a contest. He confessed with a hint of humor, “I mean you guys, I love myself, but I’m no competition for Katie Maloney.” He then added, “You know what I’m saying? I waved the white flag.”
