Kam was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, USA on May 8, 1973. After rising to fame for her role as Caitlin Richards-Deschanel on the NBC soap opera Sunset Beach, she portrayed Sheridan Crane in nearly fifty episodes of Passions. She is also well known for her work in The Prince and Me series of movies.
After earning a Political Science and Communications degree from Concordia College, she pursued a modeling career. She went on to make her screen acting debut in the 1996 movie Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Part 2.
Did you know: In 2003, she starred as Elizabeth Bennett in a 2003 cinematic adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice.
