Inspired by a radio broadcast of Donald Quarrie’s sprinting at the 1976 Olympics, she moved to the U.S. to train in track herself.
Did you know: In 1998, after controversy erupted about whether she should step down from the Jamaican national team to give younger runners a chance, she moved to Slovenia.
