Olivia was born in Edmonton on August 20, 1979. Actress and former broadcast journalist most well known for bringing to life Mei Lin in the hit Netflix series Marco Polo. She first gained popularity as a freelance journalist for ET Canada but later went on to pursue acting, earning small roles in shows like Broken Trail, Eureka, and Supernatural.

She took her first acting class at the age of six but didn’t book her first commercial until nineteen. She went on to study commerce at the University of Alberta but, dissatisfied with the discipline, went on to study at the NAIT’s Radio and Television Arts program.

Did you know: She co-founded the group One Asian, an organization dedicated to supporting education and empowerment for women of Asian heritage.
