Schyler was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA on January 9, 1995. Singer-songwriter in the Gospel, pop, and country genres, she is best known for her attempts to join American Idol during season 10, 11, and 12. Her brother Colton Dixon made it to the top seven during season 11. She released her first single “I’m Changed” in July 2015.

Both she and her brother auditioned for American Idol during season 10. Colton almost made it through to the live show but Schyler didn’t get passed auditions. For season 11 Colton went to the auditions just to support her but the judges made him. Both he and Schyler advanced to the next round but only Colton made it to the show. Again, during season 12, she never made it to the show.
