Zachary was born in Los Angeles, California, USA on October 19, 1986. Lead vocalist of the four-piece alternative-rock band American Authors who released a debut album entitled Oh, What a Life. Their breakout single is titled “Best Day of My Life.”

He met his future bandmates while attending Berklee, forming the group in 2007 under the name The Blue Pages. After two years of struggling as The Blue Pages, the four members dropped out of school and moved to Brooklyn where they became the American Authors.

Did you know: While playing a show in NYC, he and the band met Shep Goodman who signed them to the production company Dirty Canvas. Under Dirty Canvas, they wrote and recorded their single “Believer,” which landed in Sirius XM’s Alt Nation radio rotation.
